Some of the benefits of VISTA service:

• Stipend every two weeks
• $4,725 educational award or a $1,200 stipend upon completion of one year of service
• Health Insurance
• Student Loan deferment/forbearance
• Upon completion of service, special noncompetitive eligibility for federal employment

Requirements for VISTA Position:

• Must be 18
• Some college is preferred
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally able to work in the United States
• In addition, Programs may have additional requirements
